Race Info

Most years are the same – any significant changes will be announced early in the season. The most current race Information can be found here.

Swim
The swim at this race is like none other in Saskatchewan! Waskesiu Lake is clear and deep. The average temperature of the lake in August is 18C and can vary from calm to slightly wavy.

IMPORTANT: The swim changed a few years ago to a two-loop course.: Swim Map

Bike
This 62.2km bike is two loops, the first with a short out-and-back. The course is mostly on Highway 264, a quiet road with wide shoulders. It is not uncommon to spot an elk along the road, hopefully not when going down one of the large hills! The bike goes through downtown Waskesiu where friends and family can watch and cheer. Here is the map and more info!

Run
The run is an out-and-back beside the beautiful Waskesiu Lake. It is mostly pavement with a small gravel/off-road section. Most of the run is on the shoulder of the highway, so caution is necessary for runners especially when passing. The backdrop of the northern Saskatchewan Boreal forest makes this 13-km run feel like a walk in the park!
